Toronto, Sept. 8, 1933.

Re Patients' Comforts,
Criminal Insane Wing.

Dear Dr. Lynch:-

Will you kindly canvass the situation with regard to patients' comforts in this building, making sure that they get at least as much and as of good quality as was supplied them formerly at Guelph?

It will be necessary to remember that what would appear to be normal mind in other circumstances as trivial, takes on tremendous proportions with these people whose activities are circumscribed.

You will be able to discuss the situation with the Attendants who have cared for these patients at Guelph, and in that way ascertain the exact privileges accorded them there. I refer particularly to the quantity and quality of tobacco issued, and the other small attentions and privileges to which they were accustomed formerly

Yours very truly,
[Signed]
(B. T. McGhie, M.D.)
Director of Hospital Services.

Superintendent,
